Birthday Party Fun

This month we also went to a birthday party for Luke’s friend Kena, who turned one! It was in Topeka in Gage park across from the zoo.

Luke was the magician’s first helper – obviously not following in his mom’s footsteps, I’m pretty sure I would have been too scared to go up there!

On the train (with Taven in the middle being a ham).  Our train ride was pretty eventful – we only made it about a quarter of the way around the park and the train was having issues going forwards…so we got to ride BACKWARDS all the way back to the station.  The kids thought it was awesome, and we got to keep our train tickets for another day!  All in all it was a very fun party day!

Aspiring Artists – Autumn Art

A few weeks ago Luke had an art class at Parks & Rec entitled “Autumn Art.”  He had a great time, and once again Addie did an awesome job organizing all the different crafts!

First we made a scary spider out of a paper plate and folded strips of paper.

Then Luke made a pumpkin suncatcher out of tissue paper and contact paper.  Beka was the supervisor.

Luke also got to stamp “leaves” on a tree with a little squishy ball.  This was the look I got when I asked him to smile. I think I should file this away and bring it out when he’s a teenager, I’m sure I have more of these looks to come in the future!

Beka’s 7 Month Pictures
