We’ve done a few fun things since we’ve been home from Denver. Vance and Luke went to “Pirate Treasures” through parks & rec. They played in a pirate ship, made pirate hats, and followed a treasure map to find treasure! Here’s a picture of Luke in his hat with his treasure map. He added the “telescope” when he got home!
Beka has been rolling around and moving like crazy – she may crawl before her brother did! The other day I left her on her back in the middle of the playmat, and this is what I saw less than 5 minutes later:
I wish I’d seen her get that far!
Monday we started Beka on some solid food – rice cereal. These pictures are from the 3rd day of cereal. I’m not sure which was cuter – the funny faces and noises that B was making while eating, or Luke laughing hysterically and saying “Yeah Beka!” every time she took a bite!
Tonight Luke and I made alphabet cookies after his nap. He loves his letters so he was pretty excited when I brought home alphabet cookie cutters from Topeka yesterday and couldn’t wait to make cookies with them! He did a great job helping me mix up the dough and then cut out the cookies!
Pretending to “drive” with the O cookie cutter – he decided it looked like a steering wheel.
Cutting out the cookies.
Ready to put them in the oven.
The finished product!
Even though she couldn’t have any cookies, Beka was still happy!
